Okay well in this post i’m going to show you how to create a file that shuts down/restarts a pc and how you can trick people using that file i.e. make people restart their pcs like crazy :P.

Alright, lets begin… first of all go to your desktop and make a new shortcut, it’ll open a dialog box which asks for the location of the item whose shortcut is being made.. carefully type in the following line:

“C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 0″ (without the speech marks)

Click next and go through the wizard.

Now you should have an exe file on your desktop which shut downs your computer when you run it, to make a restart shortcut all you need to do is type in the following line in the New Shortcut Dialog Box:

“C:\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe -r -t 0″ (without the speech marks)

Just swap -S with an -R :p  and you’re done with the restart button aswell.. not to make the virus seem realistic we need to make it look like a normal application i.e. we need a nice little icon. To change the icon rightclick the file > Properties > Under Shortcut Tab, Click change Icon.

(Click image to view it in full size) Okay well =P for the Shutdown button i used an Adobe Photoshop Icon and for the Restart button i used a Firefox icon.

Here is my final result:

As you can see =P after a little icon changing etc the icons blend in.. all you need to do is copy them over to someone elses desktop and enjoy watching them go nuts! =P ( Note: works only on windows xp, atleast i’ve only tested it for xp :\ )
