Welcome back guys, i recently changed my theme (yesturday i guess) and well i had an issue with my old “Tag Cloud” plugin, so i began hunting for a new one.. and i stumbled accross this.. awesome plugin.. wp-cumulus, basically it looks awesome and makes looking for tags ALOT more fun and makes it much easier too.

I recommend this to everyone.. no matter what type of blog you run.. its an absolute must-have! It has only one CON, some of you might have noticed that i added a “Tags” page.. the reason for that is that wp-cumulus needs quiet some space for it to function properly (it’ll work in the sidebar aswell but it’ll look much smaller.. and the tags in the background won’t be readable), thats the only CON apart from that its completely flexible and is very easy to install.

Installation Guide:

  • Download the plugin here.. and extract it using winRAR (get the free trial version here).
  • Upload it to your Blog’s plugins directory (wp-content > plugins).
  • Activate it, (go to your wp-admin, click the plugins tab and click activate).
  • Well this next step depends on personel preferance, as i said before its better to add it to a page.. but if you’re using a single sidebar theme, and your sidebar is big.. add it there.. anyway to add the plugin to a page type: “[ WP-CUMULUS]” (without speech marks and without the space between “[” and “W”.. i can’t write it together because it inserts the tagcloud here.. :\) in the HTML editor. If you wish to add it to your sidebar.. type: “<?php wp_cumulus_insert(); ?>” (without the speech marks) whereever you want to show it and you’re done.

Notes:

  • Wp-cumulus works with version 2.3 and later (even with 2.6.1).
  • the font colour and the background colour are both changable and.. the size of the box is also subject to change, you can edit all of those in your wp-admin > settings > wp-cumulus.

I hope you like it ^^
