Ever wanted to extract data from a CD that’s been dead for a while now, Well now you can =D using CopyCat, a free software that attempts to extract data from a CD that has been scratched badly but still can be read by your CD-ROM i.e. you can open the cd with Windows Explorer but you get an error if you try to install/copy its contents.
Basically what it tries to do is it copies a file and when it comes accross an un-readable (badly corrupt) patch it skips over it whereas windows explorer/other applications would stop copying and the great thing about this nifty little app is that its features are not just limited towards CD’s/Dvds it can extract data from harddisks/usbs etc.
Download it Now! CopyCat V2.0
