Release Of The Week features the new remix from Hervé
Hervé has returned with a brand new 4-track EP with Skint Records called ‘Dance To My Beat’. Joshua ‘Hervé’ Harvey is the Cheap Thrills label boss and one of the most acclaimed dance music producers of the past decade. Under his many alias such as Machine’s Don’t Care, Speaker Junk, Voodoo Chilli, Action Man he has produced a club classic in the form of ‘Beeper’ with the album ‘Mega Mega Mega’, Kidda (‘Under the Sun’), Usher (‘Climax’), and Beyonce (‘Countdown’), to the Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Faithless, Basement Jaxx, Prodigy, Calvin Harris, Bloc Party and many more. He has featured appearances from the likes of Katy B, Bashy and Mystery Jets – forming a genre-busting snapshot of club culture that saw the pair distil electronic music and new sounds from all around the world into something completely fresh.
The eponymous lead track is a no-holds-barred EP opener. Baltimore rapper TT’s high-energy verses are fiery party-starting material when layered over Hervé’s bouncing bassline and claps, whilst the chorus’ catchy melody is formed of chopped up robotic vocals, demanding listeners to “dance to my beat”. We offer up “Doughnuts Revenge” of the EP as our Debut Transmission today bringing more heavy bass lines and a solid rave style piano section, which will have any dancefloor jumping.
